Hannah Green wins the LA Championship, Perrine Delacour grabs the top 20

What suspense in Los Angeles! At the end of a fourth round as close as it was uncertain, three players finished tied (-9 total) and competed for victory during a play-off. Thus, Hannah Green, author of a card of 69 this Sunday (2 birdies), Xiyu Lin and Aditi Ashok, who finished their fourth round with the same score of 67 (5 birdies, 1 bogey), faced each other on two additional holes in order to decide. And it was the Australian who came out on top by chaining a birdie and a par at 18 to secure her third success on the LPGA Tour, the first since 2019.

An eventful finale in Los Angeles

Fourth place (-8) is occupied by Ruoning Yin and Ayaka Furue. The latter returned a card of 65 (7 birdies, 1 bogey), the best of the day (tied with Chella Choi), to operate a superb comeback. Three players share 6th place (-7 total). We find the winner of the LPGA Championship 2021 Nelly Korda (6 birdies, 2 bogeys), Hae Ran Ryu (1 eagle, 1 birdie, 3 bogeys) and Cheyenne Knight. In the lead at dawn to start the last day, the American was in more difficulty this Sunday, weighed down by a double bogey in the 15th. She completed her fourth round above par in 73 shots (3 birdies and 3 additional bogeys).

The beautiful finish of Delacour

Jaravee Boonchant accompanies Alison Lee in 10th position (-6 total). The only Frenchwoman still in the running this weekend, Perrine Delacour confirms her good form at the moment and finally grabs a nice 17th place (-3 total) in California. This is his third top 20 in his last four tournaments played. The 29-year-old had however started her fourth round badly with a triple bogey on the 10th. However, the winner of the Prasco Charity Championship 2019 recovered, thanks to 5 birdies in a row between holes 12 and 16 (she achieved 7 in all on Sunday and conceded 3 bogeys), to go under par and record a final card of 70.
