Fourteenth-century days 2023
The 2023 edition of the Fourteenth-century days of Morimondoan event that will take you into the everyday life of medieval life.
The town on the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy, home to one of the most beautiful and evocative Lombard Romanesque abbeys, hosts for three days the traditional international event of fourteenth-century medieval historical reconstruction, set in the Visconti era and linked to the battle of Casorate: this year the event is proposed in a reduced version and takes the name of Giornate Trecentesche.
The medieval dinner scheduled for the evening of Friday 19 May is also interesting and tasty, which will also take us sensorially back into the past.
Morimondo’s 2023 Fourteenth-Century Days program
Friday 19th May
8.00 pm: medieval dinner commented by Laura Mussi and accompanied by music from In Itinere Musica Medievale (cost 38 euros, by reservation and subject to availability)
12.00-21.00: medieval camp and field life with didactics, demonstrations of falconry, archery and crossbows, trebuchets and artillery, exhibitions of jesters and refreshment area
4.00 pm: didactic exhibition of medieval musical instruments; to follow concert Ancient sounds in the Abbey and educational workshop for children to discover the harp and drum
9.00 pm: show of jesters and armed games in Piazza dell’Abbazia.
Sunday 21st May
10.00-18.00: medieval camp and field life with didactics, demonstrations of falconry, archery and crossbows, trebuchets and artillery, exhibitions of jesters and refreshment area
3.00 pm: miniature workshops, herbal medicine and frescoes by the Morimondo Abbey Museum (entrance from via Fratelli Attilio 3).
