The Sports Council of Baix Llobregat has decided to take over the registration fees of more than 400 athletes from the region with the aim of facilitating their participation in the “Finals and National Meetings“and encourage sports practice among children and young people. This support is given in recognition of the commitment of all entities and athletes who have adopted the ‘Juga Verd Play’ competitive model in School Games.
During the month of June, the Sports Councils of Catalonia will carry out about twenty “Finals and National Meetings” in individual and team sports such as 7-a-side football, futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball, chess, table tennis, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating, badminton, ice skating, hip hop and dance; due to the closure of the 2022-2023 school year.
Las “Finals and National Meetings” are the most important competitive sporting event in the country, which is held at the end of the season. More than 7,000 children and young people of school age participate in them who have competed during the year in the leagues organized by the Sports Councils of each region.

Juga Verd Play, the competitive model of the Baix Llobregat School Sports Games
The School Sports Games of Catalonia are a program promoted by the General Secretariat for Sport and Physical Activity with the aim of promoting school sports among children and young people as an educational tool to acquire healthy habits and learn values through a model competition and educational and participatory school sports activity. These games are aimed at children, young people and adolescents in Catalonia from the first year of primary school to post-compulsory secondary education.
