The new Bayern-Boss starts with a clear announcement to Dortmund!

Kahn’s successor Jan-Christian Dreesen (55) maintains a very good relationship as a member of the Executive Committee at the DFL BVB boss Aki Watzke (63). In the past few weeks, the contact has been even more intensive because the person responsible for the record champions was being discussed as the new DFL boss and Watzke took him on for the wanted to get top of the Bundesliga.

Dreesen on the podium in the Allianz Arena on Sunday morning in the best Hoeneß manner: “We want to be number one! And Dortmund should be number two. We did that again yesterday in the heart-stopping final.”

The Kahn successor: “One does not exclude the other! You can have a big rivalry and still be friendly with each other. That might give them less to write about, but that’s why the sporting ambition is the same as we’ve had in recent years.”

Especially in the last eleven years, when Bayern have been champions in a row since 2012…

Dreesen explains his attitude towards the competition: “Now let’s see how it will be next season. But I still think, and this is my personal conviction, that respectful interaction, even if you sometimes even have different opinions, is valuable and also brings you much more in the long term than arguing.”

The really big poison arrows like in the era of honorary president Uli Hoeneß (71) and ex-boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (67) are not to be expected in the next few months despite the master’s announcement!
