Suddenly there is a whole new surprise name in the search for a new Bayern boss!
According to BILD information, Jan-Christian Dreesen (55) is a candidate for the post of CEO if the current boss Oliver Kahn (53) is to be dismissed at the supervisory board meeting on May 30 – for which the probably first one is currently untitled season since 2012 more and more speaks.
The “tz” and the “Münchner Merkur” had also reported on Dreesen as a candidate.
Why Dresden? In recent years, the previous CFO has always been considered the quiet doer alongside ex-bosses Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (67) and Uli Hoeneß (71). He is closely associated with both, but is considered an outspoken critic of Kahn.
Not surprising that after the Kahn takeover last autumn, Dreesen announced his departure from Bayern – “at his own request” after ten successful years!
It was supposed to be over this summer. Dreesen is considered a candidate to become the new DFL boss. with dr Michael Diederich (57) already has a new finance director and deputy chairman for the record champions. But the former supervisory board should also see Kahn’s work critically.
What was a bit surprising on Saturday before the 1: 3 debacle against Leipzig: Despite his supposed Bayern end, Dreesen was not officially dismissed as usual with such important board members before the last home game of the season.
