Max Verstappen became the fastest in the 2023 Miami GP F1 race ahead of Sergio Perez. He was able to reach the first podium despite starting from 9th.
The 2023 Miami GP F1 race took place at the Miami International Autodrome, Sunday (7/5/2023) in the morning WIB. Sergio Perez started the race from pole position.
Fernando Alonso and Carlo Sainz followed in second and third. The three drivers on the front grid started the race well.
Perez led the race followed by Alonso and Sainz. Max Verstappen, who started from ninth place, slowly started to rush forward, disturbing the three racers above.
On the 16th lap, the Dutch racer was already in second place. He sticks to his teammate at Red Bull Racing, Perez.
Verstappen could take over pole position. He appears to consistently maintain the leading position. Perez and Alonso then involved fierce competition for second place.
Verstappen won the race, followed by Perez in second. Alonso had to settle for finishing third. The top five were completed by George Russell in fourth and Carlos Sainz in fifth.
The first podium in Miami made Verstappen even more unshakable at the top of the drivers’ standings. He is at the top with 119 points, 15 points ahead of Perez in second place. Alonso is in third place after collecting 75 points.
