Erling Haaland doesn’t help either

NOf course, football is even more modern with investors, which not everyone in Germany wants to understand, but that’s another topic. Let’s rather look to England, land of plenty. For example, the question of how many goals Erling Haaland will score this season is still very exciting: 60? 70? 116?

116 would be good. So symbolic. One goal more than the Premier League recently gave its own employer, i.e. Abu Dhabi, pardon Manchester City, when they compiled 115 violations of the league regulations between 2009 and 2018, which are now to be evaluated by a commission.

A Norwegian alone does not help in court and on the high seas, and so the lawyers for the best club in the world now want to snap away the allegations like Haaland do their opponents. Pep Guardiola would like a quick clarification, but others are responsible for the tactics in court and on the high seas.

British newspapers are predicting that the proceedings will take two to four years, maybe longer, and the first issue is the role of the QC who appoints the commission. Murray Rosen KC is a member of Marylebone Cricket Club – and Arsenal FC.
