The Chelsea U14 captain trained with the first team. THE Daily Mirror reports that Frank Lampard, coach of the Blues, actually called the young Charlie Holland so that the latter could participate in the warm-up of his team and then observe the training session. A strong gesture from Lampard who had the initiative to launch players like Mason Mount or Reece James, who have now become full members of the professional squad, during his first spell on the Chelsea bench in 2019.

Pointing before the 35^e Premier League day, and the reception of Nottingham Forest, at the 11^e place in the English championship, Chelsea no longer has much to play for. It is therefore the opportunity for the legendary English midfielder to integrate young people into a too underperforming squad.
