“I don’t believe in that,” explains the 25-year-old from Hamburg in the run-up to the ATP-250 in Munich, which starts this week and in which Dominic Thiem is also taking part.
Zverev had already tried to work with sports psychologists in the past, but wasn’t very enthusiastic: “I have the feeling that they cause more problems than they really exist.”
He cannot deny that tennis is also decided in the head. “But these are problems in your own head and not in someone else’s head,” explains the German.
