WTA – Miami > Rybakina: “I made stupid decisions”

After her defeat in the final against Kvitova, Rybakina regretted her start to the match and the loss of the first set.

« I had a few chances in the first set, although my start wasn’t the best. I started a little slow, it took me a while to get used to Petra’s balls. She plays very low, it’s not easy. I also had to try to read the serves of the left-hander, which is a bit of an advantage for her. In the second set, she had more freedom to strike, to take a little more risk. I was not disciplined and I was a bit rushed. I feel tired since Indian Wells. I tried to go all the way, to give everything I had. Maybe if the first set had gone my way it would have been different, but physically I’m a bit tired. I think that’s why I lack discipline in important moments. I also made stupid decisions on the pitch. Petra played very well”
