Oliver Kahn recently reacted to the rumors about his person. The originator of the speculation has now responded to the statements made by the Bayern boss.

Munich – FC Bayern is in crisis. CEO Oliver Kahn is heavily criticized during the negative sporting series, according to reports the 53-year-old is anything but firmly in the saddle. The FCB boss recently downplayed the rumors about his future that Jan Åge Fjörtoft had spread and described them as “hype”. Now the Norwegian TV expert reacted to Kahn’s statements.

Born:June 15, 1969 in Karlsruhe

Compulsory games for FC Bayern:632
Internationals:86 for Germany

TV expert Fjörtoft tweeted speculation about Oliver Kahn

Former Bundesliga striker Fjörtoft, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt between 1999 and 2001, devoted himself to television reporting after his career. The 56-year-old now works as an expert and co-commentator for several broadcasters, including Viaplay from Scandinavia and ServusTV from Austria. His following on Twitter is correspondingly large, where he commented on Kahn’s future last Thursday.

“I was told that it was ‘an ongoing process’ and a ‘matter of time’ before Oliver Kahn, the CEO of FC Bayern, was removed from his position,” Fjörtoft countered the day after the Champions League elimination Manchester City. Speculations about Kahn have been going on for a few days, also because Bayern – like recently in Mainz – can no longer seem to win.

Oliver Kahn responds to rumours: “Someone sent a Twitter message”

After the defeat on Saturday, Kahn was asked about the subject in ZDF’s current sports studio and reacted surprisingly calmly. “If I understood that correctly, someone sent a Twitter message and everyone else jumped on it,” the Badener summarized the situation from his point of view and said: “And then somehow there was a hype about this topic.”

The Bayern boss’s latest statements did not go unnoticed by Fjörtoft, who responded to Kahn’s response with a video on Twitter. The Norwegian posted the sequence of the ZDF interview in which the native of Karlsruhe talks about the fact that “someone sent a Twitter message” and jokes, based on James Bond: “My name is someone, James someone”. To provide context, he captioned the short clip, “Kahn talks about a tweet.”

FC Bayern threatens a “disaster” season – Kahn’s job in danger?

It is unclear whether Fjörtoft’s tweet about a possible dismissal of the CEO is just speculation or fact. Also the Bild recently reported that Kahn’s job is currently in danger. Accordingly, he and Bayern are facing turbulent weeks.

From a sporting point of view, the coming match days will also be extremely important, because with the 1: 3 in Mainz FC Bayern lost the lead in the table to Borussia Dortmund. BVB is one point ahead of Munich, who now have to hope that the competition will make mistakes. On the other hand, the season would end in what Kahn called a “disaster.” (air)
