TSV 1860 Munich drinking heaps!

The third division club has an alcohol scandal. BILD learned: Three players drank schnapps in the locker room before and between training sessions.

When the case was brought to sports director Günther Gorenzel (51), the lion boss reacted immediately: he ordered the three players to report and warned everyone. According to BILD information, there was also an immediate suspension in the room, but this was not possible due to the evidence.

Who are the liquor pros?

According to BILD information, there are two regular players and one substitute player, and the contracts for all three expire in the summer. When asked by BILD, the club did not want to comment.

You might think: The lions drink their lousy season nicely.

The TSV 1860 started as a candidate for promotion, was at the top of the table for months, then the crash came.

After only two points from seven games in winter, ex-coach Michael Köllner (52 / now Ingolstadt) had to go at the end of January. After that, the search for a coach dragged on for weeks, under interim coach Gorenzel the lions only got two points in four games – promotion was lost again. The lions even missed qualifying for the DFB Cup.

The new coach Maurizio Jacobacci (60) tried to stabilize the squad, is currently in a weak ninth place with the lions, on Sunday (2 p.m.) the lions play in Saarbrücken. Does the coach act as consistently as the club? According to BILD information, the warned players are still part of the squad, but it is questionable whether they will also be in the starting XI. The professionals do not have to reckon with further sanctions.

But the club cannot let this lack of discipline get away with it either.
