The stars of the Champions Cup. An evening in their honor

Five teams from Lombardy, winners of the basketball Champions Cup. They are Pallacanestro Cantù, Olimpia Milano, Pallacanestro Varese, Pool Comense and Geas Sesto San Giovanni, excellences that in their history have won 13 times throughout the top continental trophy.

They will be celebrated on Tuesday 2 May in a Da Rosa dinner-event in Capiago Intimiano, in an evening organized by Liba Italia in collaboration with Acqua S. Bernardo and presented by Edoardo Ceriani, head of sports services of La Provincia.

Two important anniversaries are also being celebrated: the 40th anniversary of the Champions Cup won by Cantù in Grenoble and the national team’s gold medal in Nantes. Great guests are expected, practically all the Italians of Cantù 1982/83, protagonists of the national team, from Meo Sacchetti, to Antonello Riva and Dino Meneghin, with coach Sandro Gamba. And again Viviana Ballabio, Aldo Corno, Valerio Bianchini, Aldo Ossola, Cinzia Zanotti and other surprise guests.
