Leroy Sané was spotted appearing to hide his lower lip as Bayern Munich landed in Germany following the team’s 3-0 Champions League loss to Manchester City. The German striker was reportedly hit by teammate Sadio Mané during an altercation in the locker room after the final whistle.
With a baseball cap on his forehead, the player who had caused City the most problems on the night, but failed to find the back of the net, drew his lower lip as if to hide any injury he might have could have contracted after coming to blows with his Senegalese teammate.
In footage obtained by Sky Sport Germany, Leroy Sané stared resolutely ahead as the team left the airport. As reported by the source, the Bayern players had to separate the two wingers after an argument on the pitch spilled into the tunnel.
Mane, who joined Bayern from Liverpool during last summer’s transfer window, reportedly punched the former Manchester City player and left him with a bloody lip before his teammates intervened.
The Senegal international was then reportedly picked up by a separate vehicle from Munich Airport, while Sané, who is pictured in front of team-mate Jamal Musiala, grabbed the coach with the rest of the squad.
The smash will present manager Thomas Tuchel with a daunting and immediate challenge as Bayern seek an instant rebound from their loss to Pep Guardiola’s side.
