The Central African qualified for the Judo World Championships

Nadia Guimendego qualified for the 2023 world judo championships. She will represent the Central African Republic at this competition scheduled for May in Qatar.

This is another step in the career of Nadia Guimendego. The Central African judoka under 56 Kilo is qualified for the World Judo Championships scheduled for May 7 to 14, 2023 at the Ali bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Arena in Doha.

If there is the joy of qualification, another challenge presents itself to her, the financial one. The athlete risks not participating in the competition for lack of means. The day after this qualification, the judokate launched an appeal on her page, for support.

“I am therefore looking for financial support to allow me to make the trip with my coach Matthieu PELERIN said Guimendego, who launched a kitty to make this trip which will be one more step in his dream of defending the colors of the Central African Republic at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

A series of good results

In recent months, Nadia Guimendego has lined up great performances that give hope for her country. After a brilliant participation in the Tunis Open, where she won a gold medal, she won the silver medal at the Algiers Open last March.

In 2022, Guimendego had already won gold at the senior African judo championships organized in Oran (Algeria).
