“The change will give us the opportunity to negotiate with the tennis players who, if they come with us, will play the two tournaments in Mexico, prior to the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami. With the change, Los Cabos It will take place in a week in which tourist occupancy in that destination is more than 90 percent, which will increase attendance at matches,” said Fernández.

According to the tournament director, several of the top ranking players have already shown interest in playing consecutively. Los Cabos and Acapulco, which has the attraction of reducing the flight time in planes of the players prior to the first two Masters 1000 of the season.
