Repsol promotes electric mobility |

Repsol and Alphabet have come together so that the clients of the ‘renting’ firm can recharge their electric vehicles at any of the public charging points that the multi-energy company has in Spain.

The group led by Josu Jon Imaz thus continues to expand its alliances to promote sustainable mobility, after another one was closed this Wednesday with the FreeNow platform, expanding its presence in the VTC and taxi fleet sector, since it also has agreements with Uber and Bolt.

For its part, this agreement makes Alphabet in the first ‘renting’ company to promote a measure of this type in Spain and represents a further step in its commitment to offer the best service to its customers and in the company’s strategic commitment to promoting more sustainable mobility.

In addition, the agreement will also allow Alphabet customers to have the possibility of discounts and numerous advantages for using the electric recharging cards of the multi-energy company.

The act of signing the collaboration agreement, which was held at the Alphabet Spain offices, was attended by Alberto Copado, CEO of Alphabet in Spain, and Valero Marín, General Director of Repsol Clients.

Copado stressed that this agreement represents “the beginning of a long-term collaboration, and that it fulfills a double mission: on the one hand, we continue to promote more sustainable mobility, the cornerstone of our purpose as a company; and, on the other, we continue to accompany our customers, the true engine of our business, so that they can enjoy the great capillarity that Repsol has in our country, without having to worry about where they can recharge their vehicle”.

For his part, Valero Marín considered that the alliance with Alphabet “reinforces the commitment to electric mobility and enhances our extensive public charging network.”

“In addition, this agreement consolidates our position as a multi-energy company, a leader in mobility and focused on the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050, being the first company in the sector to adopt this ambitious goal,” he added.

Repsol currently has more than 1,200 public charging points installed throughout the country, of which more than 550 are operational, the majority located in service stations. To this network must be added the three ultra-fast charging facilities located in the Lopidana (Álava), Ugaldebieta (Vizcaya) and Venturada (Madrid) service stations.
