High School – University of Memphis freshman Mikey Williams is suspected of shooting a gun.
18-year-old Mikey Williams is charged with five counts, including ” d’assault on others with a firearm“, and he is liable to a maximum sentence of four years in prison. According to the police report, he would have fired in the direction of a car which was leaving his home, and in which there were five people. Police found bullet holes in the vehicle, but no one was injured.
According to his lawyer, “This altercation was sparked by several uninvited people who entered the house and caused a disturbance.
During this altercation, shots were fired, and Mr. Williams would match the description of the shooter. A search warrant was therefore executed and Mr. Williams was arrested. He has posted bail and looks forward to answering all the charges against him.”.
For its part, the management of the University of Memphis announced that it was aware of the arrest, and that it was gathering more information before deciding.
