The world champion and double Olympic medalist in Judo, Paula Pareto, will visit the city of Río Grande to be part of the “Ciudad de Río Grande” awards. She will also provide two clinics for the Municipal Judo Schools that will have guests from Tolhuin, Ushuaia, Punta Arenas and Calafate.
The renowned judoka, world champion in 2015, bronze medalist in Beijing 2008 and gold medalist in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, will arrive in Rio Grande to be part of the “City of Rio Grande” awards. This gala recognizes athletes who during 2022 have excelled in their respective disciplines.
In addition, Pareto will offer two classes for athletes from the city that will have guests from Tolhuin, Ushuaia, Calafate and Punta Arenas.
Paula Pareto was the first Argentine woman to become an Olympic champion and the first athlete from the country to win two Olympic medals in individual disciplines. Added to her sports career, in 2014 she received her medical degree, an activity that she carried out in parallel with her career as a judoka.
