According to sources, Rob Pelinka, Vice President of Basketball Operations and general manager for the Lakers, is seeking information on potential head coaches. Among those being considered is ESPN analyst JJ Redick. The first round of requests for interview will focus on candidates who have not been previously met with or are less familiar to the organization compared to others.
Sources stated that the search will take place in phases, starting with an initial wave and then conversations with coaches who have a longer history with the Lakers. This will be followed by narrowing down the list to a final group of potential candidates.

According to sources from ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers will begin reaching out to potential coaching candidates in the near future, focusing primarily on assistant coaches and former head coaches whom they are less acquainted with. Monday marked the start of this process.
Sources have indicated that the initial list of interviewees is likely to consist of potential assistant coaches, including candidates from Miami (Chris Quinn) and New Orleans (James Borrego). The Lakers fired Darvin Ham after two seasons earlier this month. Ham was 90-74 overall, with a trip to the Western Conference finals in his debut season followed by a five-game series loss to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs this year.Adrian Wojnarowski
