Marenis has left the camp of the Latvian hockey team

Marenis joined the national team’s training camp just last week and was part of the squad for one of the test matches against Great Britain last weekend.

On April 28 and 29, the Latvian hockey players “Arena Rīga” will fight against the Swiss team in a test match, but they will end the preparatory phase with a match against the Danish hockey team on May 4.

The 30-year-old Marenis has represented the Latvian national team in three world championships.

In total, in the ranks of the Latvian national team, he played 21 matches in the WC field, in which he scored two goals.

Marenis finished the previous season in the Swedish top league club “Orebro”, where he will not play next season.

The World Championship will take place in Riga and Tampere from May 12 to 28.
