Luguentz Dort is among the best defensive players in the NBA

Luguentz Dort is the second best defensive player in the NBA according to his peers.

This is according to an anonymous survey conducted by The Athletic with 108 players who answered various questions about the NBA.

The online magazine therefore surveyed nearly a quarter of players on the basketball circuit in the last three weeks of the regular season to get their opinion.

This is the first such poll conducted by The Athletic since 2019.

But back to Dort, a product of Montreal North, who is awfully effective in the defensive game.

He won 11.4% of the vote in this poll and was only beaten by Jrue Holiday (28.7%).

It’s all the more flattering that at 6’4”, Dort is not one of the giants of the league.

What’s more, he is not among the leaders in the main defensive categories. This means that he is above all a difficult player to face.

And this is confirmed with another question, that concerning the player with whom the respondents would least like to fight. Dort is again part of the charts with just under 3% of the vote.
