Lucie Blesson elected Miss Haute-Vienne 2023

Nearly a thousand people attended, this Saturday evening April 22, the Miss Haute-Vienne contest, at the Buxerolles pavilion, in Limoges. And it was an 18-year-old young woman who was elected. She confided in her journey, in the company of her two runners-up.

Miss Haute-Vienne

18-year-old Lucie Blesson is from the Landes and is studying sociology in Limoges, which she finances thanks to a job as a waitress at Michard. The young woman would like, next year, to reorient herself to work in leather goods, within the Hermès company. “For me, this election was a challenge. I experienced harassment when I was young. And I managed to overcome the reproaches made to me about my physique.”

First runner-up

Fany Jarry is 19 years old, has lived abroad, notably in Tahiti for four years thanks to the transfers of her teacher dad. She started judo very young, obtained the black belt and was a top athlete. “Coming here was a challenge for me too. I have long been criticized for my physique, my large build, my drawn back. No matter the shape, we are all beautiful?!”

The young woman plans to obtain a BTS as a business unit manager and then continue with a master’s degree or branch off into communication.

Second runner-up

Lara Dumas, 21, comes from Bordeaux. She arrived in Limoges to continue her studies in biology. The one who intends to become an animal behaviorist is a great sportswoman. After eight years of Thai boxing, she took up badminton, climbing and running.

“I too have been harassed and this competition is revenge on life. It embodies the woman I have become. I have been able to get up and I am proud of it.”

Enzo will attempt a Channel crossing thanks to the Misses

The election this year had a charitable character for the benefit of Enzo Bruno, a polyhandicapped person who spent five years in Limoges.

The young man received financial assistance from the Miss Haute-Vienne committee to attempt a Channel crossing in a month, on May 27. This former French swimming champion in disabled sports intends to enter water at 10 degrees to swim for around 20 hours. He will cover 34 kilometers, swimming only with his arms. “I’ve been swimming for 22 years. I like challenges”, says the man who also intends to hang on his board the “2 caps”, an extreme swimming challenge off the Opal Coast. It will leave from Cap Blanc Nez and join Cap Gris Nez. He could thus become the first disabled swimmer in the world to succeed in this challenge. The young man has planned, on his return, to join the Miss Haute-Vienne committee, a “family” he says, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year.
