Judo. Clarisse Agbegnenou agrees to wear the France team’s kimono again. Sport

It is the end of a showdown between the French Judo Federation and one of its most brilliant representatives, Clarisse Agbegnenou. As advertised The Team the judoka has agreed to wear the official kimono of the French team, and not that of her personal equipment supplier, during international competitions.

A way out found as a result of the agreement between the Federation and Teddy Riner. As a reminder, the triple Olympic gold medalist had been able to compete with his personal equipment supplier, before retracting recently and agreeing to wear the kimono of the France team again.

A capital agreement since it allowed the outcome of the conflict between Agbegnenou and the Federation, the judoka having justified his choice by unequal treatment. As Riner is now housed in the same boat as the others, the conflict was able to be settled amicably. Agbegnenou will therefore wear the kimono of the French team during the next world championships in Doha, next month (from May 7 to 14).
