Jonas will miss two rounds of the World Motocross Championship after a heavy fall in training / Article

Jonas will miss the world championship round in Portugal in the last days of April, as well as the next race a week later in Spain. He plans to return on May 21 in France.

Paul Jonas on his injuries and plans for the World Championship

Jonas refrained from detailing the exact course of events in the failed training session, but admitted that there was a mishap that was beyond his control, and a rather spectacular fall followed. Immediately after that, Jonas thought that it would be very crazy and the consequences would be more severe. He was immediately taken to the hospital for tests, but the motorcyclist was discharged the very next day. Paul checked with some other doctors to make sure everything was fine.

Paul feels that everything will be fine, he just needs to recover physically and psychologically to prepare for the French stage with renewed vigor. The helmet has protected him from concussion this time.

“Fortunately, nothing that serious, nothing broken, everything just smashed,” Jonas said. “Now I have to get rid of it, and then I will try to prepare for the French stage. That is sport, but after the rain, the sun shines, and now we just have to wait for the clouds to go away.”

Jonas did not hide that failures and injuries one after the other caused him a very depressed mood, but he is determined to overcome this by putting both his body and thoughts in order.

After four stages, Jonas ranks 15th in the world championship in the most prestigious MXGP class with 56 points.
