“In the footsteps of Yva” in the Opel villas in Rüsselsheim

RUSSELSHEIM. (schl). The Art and Culture Foundation Opelvillen Rüsselsheim invites you to a dialogue “In the footsteps of Yva” on Sunday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. The Berlin photographer and artist Jörn Vanhöfen, who presented his work in detail in the Opel villas in 2015, came up with the idea. In 2000 Vanhöfen realized the first comprehensive exhibition of the photographer Yva in the Postfuhramt Berlin, which was also visited by Yva’s best-known student Helmut Newton (1920-2004). The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Beate Kemfert and takes place in the exhibition “Frieda Riess and Yva. Photographs 1919–1937”, which can be visited beforehand or afterwards.
