The most famous obstacle course in the world will be staged at Gubbio Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 April: more than 5100 athletes, who come from all Italian regions and 24 countries, will participate in the race between ropes, stones, mud, fire and wooden bridges. The so-called “Spartan Race” provides formats and levels of difficulty, which increase according to the length of the course: 20 obstacles for the Sprint 5km, 30 for the Super 10km and 40 obstacles for the Beast 21km. The three races are useful for the championship Italian Spartan Race 2023. The mayor of Gubbio Philip Mario Stiratitogether with the councilor for sport and tourism Gabriele Damiania Julia Zomegnanla Country Manager Spartan Race Italy e a Manuel Moriconi, presented the event and declared: “We really bet a lot on big events and shows like this, after an excellent Easter. We are now ready to experience these two days, certainly aware of the fact that even the residents will be forced into…an obstacle course due to traffic and parking restrictions. These are sacrifices for the promotion of the city”.
