Eintracht Frankfurt: Why Mario Götze suddenly complains all the time Sports

Super Mario becomes Mecker Mario!

Eintracht playmaker Mario Götze (30) saw his fifth yellow card in Leverkusen (1: 3) and will miss next week’s game against Gladbach (Saturday, 6:30 p.m.).

As so often this season, the world champion was warned for complaining. Unbelievable: Götze got all five yellow cards in the league this year for lack of discipline.

Four times for complaining and once because he deliberately wanted to prevent the opponent from taking a free kick.

In addition, there were even two complaining yellow cards in the Champions League round of 16 games against Naples. So all absolutely avoidable and unnecessary cards!

A new development for Götze, who for the first time in his career has to serve a suspension in the league because of too many warnings.

Why is Götze constantly complaining?

According to BILD information, the experienced playmaker wants to be the leader. It’s his way of taking responsibility. Götze wants to get his colleagues carried away and show that Eintracht shouldn’t put up with everything. Nevertheless, it is clear that the Frankfurt star has recently taken it to the extreme – and now with the ban he is getting the reward for it.

Coach Oliver Glasner (48) is also aware of this, recently even giving Götze a ban on complaining (“I told Mario on the pitch in Naples that that was his last yellow card…”). But the world champion probably wasn’t listening properly…
