The Minnesota Twins have recalled Quebec player Édouard Julien.

Considered one of the best prospects for the Twins and indeed all of baseball, Julien had done everything to make his mark this year, especially after having shone with the Canadian team at the World Baseball Classic. But he was eventually demoted to the AAA level, where he had a strong start to the season.

A power hitter, the athlete from the Quebec region has never ceased to amaze since the beginning of his professional career and his years with the prestigious University of Auburn.

In uniform at Indianapolis in the AAA level on Tuesday night, he left the meeting after the first inning. He had received the famous call. He could be in uniform as early as Wednesday afternoon when the Twins play at 1 p.m. against the White Sox. Otherwise, he will make his debut Thursday… at Yankee Stadium.

His recall comes as slugger Joey Gallo was placed on the injured list.

A left-handed hitter and offensive threat, Julien can play at first, second and third base.

Already armed with big-league momentum, according to Twins manager Rocco Baldelli, he’s best known for his ease of hitting the trails, posting a .437 on-base average in three minor-league seasons. This is obviously among the best stats of any affiliate league.
