Dominic Thiem and Lorenzo Sonego enter the final table of Monte-Carlo

The avalanche of withdrawals which have hit the table of the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo in recent days (Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, Gaël Monfils, etc.) is bound to delight players who do not did not have direct access to the final table. This is particularly the case of Dominic Thiem (29 years old, 111th). The Austrian benefits from the fact that Jack Draper no longer needs an invitation to join the final table after Gaël Monfils’ package. Invitation that the organizers have therefore decided to give to Thiem.

Lorenzo Sonego (27 years old, 47th), he benefits from the package of his compatriot Fabio Fognini (who was invited) and also integrates the final table of the Monegasque Masters 1000. The upheaval game of recent days also benefits Andy Murray (35, 57th). The Briton, semi-finalist in 2009, 2011 and 2016, finds a tournament he had not played since 2017.

Van Assche and Paire invited in qualifying

Finally, Luca Van Assche (18 years old, 91st) and Benoît Paire (33 years old, 164th) have received an invitation to play in the qualifying tournament which will begin this Saturday.
