Clermont international winger Damian Penaud suffers from a calf muscle injury and had to forfeit the ASM match in Pau, his coach Christophe Urios said on Friday.

The international winger (26 years old, 42 caps) will be absent for a month, according to his coach Christophe Urios who announced it during the press briefing this Friday.

Executive player of the XV of France and Clermont, the best try scorer of the 2023 Six Nations Tournament will join Bordeaux-Bègles next season.

This season, Penaud has played nine Top 14 games, all as a starter, for four tries. He also started four continental matches, including two in the Champions Cup.

The Auvergne club, currently 10th in the Top 14, travels to Pau on Saturday, on behalf of the 22nd day of the championship.
