Cristina Bucsa overcomes the first round in Stuttgart with a comeback

MADRID, 17 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Cristina Bucsa qualified this Monday for the second round of the tournament in Stuttgart (Germany), scoring for the WTA and which is played on clay on indoor courts, after beating the German Tamara Korpatsch in three sets by 3-6 , 6-4, 6-0.

The player from Santander needed two hours and 20 minutes to overcome her debut against a rival classified from the previous phase, which was complicated after giving up a first set where she conceded three breaks in her first three services.

Bucsa continued with those problems and also gave up the first two of the second set to see himself down 1-3 and in serious danger. The Spaniard managed to recover a break, but the sixth ‘break’ against her put her on the ropes again against the locals, at which time she reacted forcefully to win the next nine games and go to the second round.
