José María Ortiz de Pinedo – Javier García, on the one hand, and the sisters Cristina and María Carlón, on the other, have achieved victory in the 2023 Castilla y León Men’s and Women’s Doubles Championship, which has been successfully held at the tour of Aldeamayor.

The tournament, played under the Four Ball modality, reflected great intensity of play in both categories, although it was in the men’s category where equality reached the limit, to the point that the triumph of José María Ortiz de Pinedo and Javier García was came after beating Ignacio Mateos and Juan Guilarte on the first playoff hole, with whom they ended up tied at 65 strokes after the 18 holes of competition.

The pairs joined by Fernando Cabezudo – Javier Alvarez-Guisasola and Jose Antonio Gonzalez Pertejo – Roberto Gonzalez, both with 67 strokes, completed the tournament podium.

For their part, the triumph of the sisters Cristina and María Carlón among the females was more comfortable. In this case, the two from Palencia federated by Lerma, great promises of Castilian-Leon golf, led the classification with a round of 67 shots, eight less than the Valladolid Raquel Ortiz de Pinedo and Elia Ortiz de Pinedo, second classified. The podium was completed, with 76 shots, with the presence of Suban Srisaengorn – Mercedes Arroyo, winners of this tournament in the 2022 edition.

In the men’s category, Javier García repeats the title with respect to 2022, at that time forming a couple with Jaime Díez Moliner.
