Khan, who retired from boxing in May, conceded that he violated anti-doping rules but said it was unintentional.

An independent court accepted that argument and ruled out the 36-year-old’s “willful or reckless conduct.”

“I never cheated,” Khan told Sky Sports News. “But now I have a two-year ban, which is pretty weird and funny because I’m already retired anyway.

“There is no return planned at all. But I have never cheated and I never will. That’s something I wouldn’t do.”

“I have to take some kind of responsibility. At the end of the day, it has been found in my system. I can honestly say that this is something I would never do. [hacer trampa].
