“A good time with the family”

It’s already the 99^e edition of the event… We are talking here the Angers Fair, which is being held at the Parc des Expositions from Thursday 20 to Monday 24 April. Housing, garden, car, tourism, gastronomy, shopping, creative workshop, second hand… There will be something for everyone with, in total, over 350 exhibitors on site. “It’s a long story, an event that is both intergenerational, popular, commercial, which has met challenges for years”deciphers Evelyne Lorido, in charge of the Fair.

Music and the Olympic Village

No red thread this year but themes centered around ecological transition or l’innovation. And Evelyne Lorido assures her, the atmosphere will also be present through, in particular, a music scene : “We invited a number of local bands for a nice outdoor break, with a guinguette side. There will also be an Olympic village organized by the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of Maine-et-Loire. It is 1000 square meters and covers five Olympic and Paralympic sports, such as rock climbing, basketball, fencing, sport shooting et the archery. »

Also on the program: a raffle, a blind test or even a cooking workshop. With the school holiday period, the organizers expect more than 40,000 visitors over the four days of the Fair. The event manager also discusses the objectives of the event: « promote local artisans and merchants, but also the actors of the associative world. In addition there is all the symbol of the popular side of the Fair, it is an institution, almost a community, with people who come every year. We wanted to have a program which would be a bit like a festival, with activities in tune with the times to meet the expectations of visitors. It’s going to be a great family time. »
