Young Croatian banned from playing football for two years after positive EPO test | Bundesliga

The banned product epo has often been associated with cycling, but the performance-enhancing drug is also abused in football. The Croatian promise international Mario Vuskovic is not allowed to play football for 2 years after a positive test.

Mario Vuskovic is a 21-year-old defender of the German second division club Hamburger SV. At the beginning of this season, he ran into a urine test.

The German Football Association DFB says that both the A and B samples of its test have been extensively examined.

Because Vuskovic is still young and they don’t want to ruin his career, he gets a 2-year suspension. The World Anti-Doping Agency WADA prescribes 4 years.

His club Hamburger SV has already announced that it will appeal against the suspension.

Vuskovic played 16 matches for HSV this season. In it he scored 2 goals.
