The strengthening of the peso against the dollar registered in recent months is driving the interest and demand for foreign travel by Mexicans. According to KAYAK, an international platform specialized in travel records, Mexicans are looking for destinations like TOrlando, Canada; Madrid Spain; and Bogota, Colombia.

“The peso is now one of the strongest currencies in all of Latin Americatoday it is still very strong,” said Lise Vives, director of KAYAK for Latin America, in an interview with The Sun of Mexico. As of today, to travel to these international destinations, the price ranges from 5,900 to almost 21,000 Mexican pesos, which represents an increase of approximately 30 percent compared to the prices registered in 2022.
