What time do you jump in Vikersund? Where is he watching? Raw Air 2023 [TRANSMISJA NA YWO, STREAM]

After struggling in Oslo and Lillehammer, Raw Air finally moved to Vikersund. Both fans and jumpers must have been waiting for this moment. Although it will be difficult to break the record in jump length (Stefan Kraft’s 253.5 m) on the world’s largest hill this year, one should expect flights far beyond 230 m anyway. Five White and Reds will try to overcome this limit today.

Long distance flights of Poles during the prologue in Vikersund. Kraft, however, was out of competition

On Friday, as part of the qualifiers, another Raw Air prologue was played. Its undisputed winner was Stefan Kraft, who jumped 239 meters. It was not the longest flight, because his compatriot Michael Hayboeck landed half a meter further, but worse marks and points compensation for the wind meant that Kraft won the prologue with as much as 15 points advantage.

Dawid Kubacki also did well, reaching 235 meters, taking the seventh position. The 14th was Piotr Żyła, who jumped 213.5 meters, and the 16th place was taken by Kamil Stoch after he landed on 209 meters. Andrzej Stękała after a jump of 217.5 meters took 20th place, and Aleksandr Zniszczoł jumped 203 meters and was 30th. Paweł Wąsek reached only 165 meters and finished the competition in 47th position, thus not advancing to the main competition.

Undoubtedly, the greatest attention of Polish fans will be focused on Dawid Kubacki, who is still fighting for the final podium in Raw Air. Anze Laniska is 8.1 points behind the third and there are still five jumps to go. The chances of overtaking the Slovenian are therefore quite high. This difference can be made up even during one attempt, but the key will be above all the even and long flights of the World Cup runner-up. It seems that the leader Halvor Egner Granerud and Stefan Kraft, who are behind the Norwegian by 22.4 points, will fight for the final triumph.
