Wembanyama and Boulogne-Levallois beaten on the wire by Portel, Roanne wins against Le Mans

At the end of a close match, the Metropolitans 92 of Victor Wembanyama (19 points, 11 rebounds) let slip the victory against Portel, Friday evening, in Betclic Elite (78-77) during the 25th day.

The game will have seen the score switch on many occasions, but it was ultimately the Northerners who got the better of the Championship dolphins. In the wake of an excellent Benoît Mangin (21 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists at 8/12 shooting), Le Portel turned the tide in the last quarter despite a delay that rose to 12 points.

The Mets, however, could have taken advantage of the clumsiness of the locals on the last throws, but the match point – from the midfielder – was not converted by Vincent Collet’s men. Levallois remains second, Le Portel is 13th and temporarily takes two victories ahead of the teams fighting for maintenance.

In the other meeting, Roanne took advantage of a great start (31-18 after 10 minutes) to overcome Le Mans (105-92), despite Matt Morgan’s 36 points. La Chorale (8th) is back up to Manceaux (7th) in the standings, but with two more matches played.
