Two Frenchmen in the top 20, Jorge Campillo takes control in Kenya

Jorge Campillo had a perfect day this Saturday. On the occasion of the third round of the Magical Kenya Open, the Spaniard made the best card (63, 8 birdies) and took alone control of the tournament (-13 total). Just behind, Robert MacIntyre grabbed second place (-12). The Scotsman, 94th in the world rankings, finished the Muthaiga Golf Club course in 65 shots (1 eagle at 10, 5 birdies, 2 bogeys).

The podium is completed by a duo at -11. We find Masahiro Kawamura, with a card of 68 (6 birdies, 3 bogeys) and the South African Jayden Schaper, author of 69 shots (4 birdies, 2 bogeys). Fifth place is held by Santiago Tarrio at -10. The Spaniard ends his Saturday with a record of 64 (2 eagles, 4 birdies, 1 bogey). 6th place (-9) is occupied by a group of 6 players with Ryo Hisatune, Borja Virto, John Catlin, Lukas Nemecz, Matthew Jordan and JC Ritchie.

Julien Brun at the gates of the top 10

26th at the end of the second round, Julien Brun returned a card of 67 to move up to 11th place (-8) thanks to 6 birdies and 2 bogeys. The Frenchman is notably accompanied by Nacho Elvira. Leader Friday evening, the Spaniard had a more difficult day, finished in 73 (3 birdies, 3 bogeys, 1 double bogey).

Pierre Pineau also in the top 20

Pierre Pineau also had a more complicated third round. However, the Habs managed to save the par thanks to a birdie at 18 (1 other birdie, 2 bogeys). He ranks 17th (-7). Among the other Frenchmen, Romain Longasque and Robin Sciot-Siegrist occupy 36th place (-4), Adrien Saddier is 44th (-3) while Gary Stal and Tom Vaillant are 71st (in par).
