Regarding the recent title of Independiente del Valle in the Recopa Sudamericana, which meant a hard blow for Flamengo, current Copa Libertadores champion, Transfermarkt published the list of the most valuable South American leagues in 2023.

The news for the Colombian league is that it occupies third place in this ranking, after Brazil and Argentina, which have the most valuable clubs on the continent. The 20 teams in Serie A add up to 1.32 billion euros.

Flamengo, the beaten loser of the Recopa, appears along with Palmeiras and Mineiro, Millonarios’ next rival in phase 3 of Libertadores, as the clubs that exceed 100 million euros on the market. For Argentina, River Plate and Boca Juniors are the most valued, while for Colombia it is Atlético Nacional.

Gabigol from Flamengo, with 22 million euros; Endrick de Palmeiras and Pedro de Flamengo, each with 20, are the three most expensive players in the Brasileirao. Regarding Argentina, the most valuable player is Nicolás de la Cruz, from River, with 13 million. For the FPC, Juan Fernando Quintero is listed as the most valued, with 3.5 million euros.
