Texas-inspired menu for Scottie Scheffler’s Dinner of Champions

Scottie Scheffler has finalized his menu for the Dinner of Champions, as a prelude to the next Masters, and it corresponds perfectly to what one would expect from a Texan… even if the world number 1 was born very close to New York, in New Jersey!

The menu that will offer Scottie Scheffler during the Champions Dinner, before the next Masters To Augusta, has been published. And the winner this year of Phoenix Open and of The Playerslast Sunday, chose the same dessert as in the 2016 menu concocted by Jordan Spiethnative of Dallas.

Everything will start with Cheeseburger Slidersserved “Scottie-Style” and will be followed by shrimp Firecracker covered with mild Thai chili sauce and mayonnaise Sriracha. The tortilla soup will be served with avocado, crispy tortilla strips, fresh cream, cilantro and lime.

The main course will be Texas Ribeye Steak but there will be another option for fish lovers: Blackened Redfish. With a cheerful assortment of sides, including macaroni and cheese, grilled corn with jalapeño cream, cabbage Bruxelles and, of course, fries.

To end on a high note, a warm chocolate chip cookie will be served in a skillet, with ice cream. A choice inspired by Spieth, who had selected the same dessert at the end of an equally tempting menu: corn muffins, beef brisket, smoked half-chicken or pork chops, with barbecued beans and a salad of potatoes with bacon and chives.

It remains to be seen whether Phil Mickelson will appreciate…
