Sonck and U18 take second stunt victory in a row

In addition to the Red Devils, many Belgian national youth teams are also coming into action these days. The U19 and U17 play the elite round in which they look for a ticket for the European Championship, while the Young Devils practice one last time against Japan on Monday evening before they gather again in June for the European Championship. The U18 of national coach Wesley Sonck have played a friendly tournament in Croatia in recent days.

They achieved some very good results there. In their opening game, they were still stuck at a 2-2 against Switzerland, with Ayanda Sishuba and Malick Fofana scoring the goals. Then, however, a nice 0-3 against England followed. Enock Agyei, Chemsdine Talbi and again Fofana gave the Belgians that nice victory.

On Sunday, the Young Devils closed their trip to Croatia with a match against the host country, which also received a 3-0. After Matias Fernandez Pardo had opened the score, Sishuba also scored his second goal of the tournament. Frederic Soelle Soelle then recorded the final score. With a good seven out of nine, the team showed that they could create a furore in the battle for the U19 European Championship next season.
