Napoli beats Atalanta 2-0 record
Napoli regained their pace as leaders and returned to victory, overcoming Atalanta in a match in which the star of an irrepressible Kvaratskhelia shines, which kicks off the blue success with an action and a goal destined to remain in the history of the championship. Spalletti’s team exercises a very clear dominance of the game, but it is especially in the second half that the Azzurri express all their technical-tactical and athletic potential, leaving Atalanta no chance. Spalletti relies on the starters, even if having to give up Mario Rui, who is serving the second day of disqualification and Lozano, blocked by a muscle injury, is forced to send Olivera and Politano onto the field. Gollini joins the two at the last moment before the start of the match, who replaces Meret in goal blocked by a wrist problem he accused during the warm-up. In the second half, Napoli appeared on the field with a fierce determination that put Atalanta in great difficulty. In the 14th minute the hosts scored the opening goal. The action begins with Anguissa stealing the ball in the middle of the field and serving Osimhen. From the Nigerian the ball reaches Kvaratskhelia who enters the penalty area, dribbles past a swarm of opponents and concludes with an unstoppable central shot. The presence of Muriel and Boga are the sign of Gasperini’s attempt to change the dynamics of the match which in effect becomes more balanced. But in the 32nd minute Rrahmani on a slope from the flag takes the time perfectly, jumps and hits the head sending the ball into the back of the net. Atalanta hints at a reaction that culminates with a great save by Gollini on a diagonal conclusion by Ruggeri. It’s the last thrill of a game that brings Napoli even more to the top of the standings, launched in its race which has once again become unstoppable.
