Ricardo Regufe left the National Team delegations, after almost two decades at the service of the corner team. Regufe is the current representative of Cristiano Ronaldo and was directly involved in the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al Nassr, from Saudi Arabia, after the World Cup in Qatar.
Since the transfer of the national captain, he started a new cycle in his professional life. Regufe asked the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) to stop joining the Portuguese delegations, a decision that was respected by federative officials.
On his social networks, Ricardo wrote a message of thanks to his colleagues, coaches and staff of the corner team and reinforcing the idea that “the desire to see our Selection win is always the same”. “It has been a pride and a privilege to have served my country as a member of the National Team for two decades. I lived unforgettable moments and made friendships for life. I saw up close the National Team winning the two major trophies it has won so far and watching Cristiano Ronaldo become the best player in the world”, it can be read.
Ricardo Regufe, who was born in Matosinhos, Porto, played for Leixões until the senior level, when the team was under the command of Fernando Folha. Later, he continued at Castêlo da Maia and Foz Côa, but abandoned his sports career at 21 to focus on sports marketing.
The connection between Ricardo Regufe to the National Team started in 2003 when he was “Sports Marketing Manager Football Portugal” for Nike. At the World Cup in Russia, Euro 2020 and at the World Cup in Qatar he accompanied the Portuguese delegation as a personal assistant.
