Restoration of the mural “Heroines of Mérida” begins – Yvke Mundial

Within the framework of International Women’s Day, the Bolivarian government seeks to make visible the legacy of the Heroines of Mérida in the independence cause.

The government of Mérida, through its attached bodies, began a special agenda of activities to honor Women, as highlighted by Marielys Sácipa, director of Regional Executive Services.

The painting of the mural “Las Heroínas” will be completed in 3 days, it is located in the emblematic transport station of El Judo on the boulevard “Don Tulio Febres Cordero”, in the center of Mérida, a space recently recovered by the government and the Libertador mayor’s office.

The also responsible for Youth Mobilization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela in Mérida, highlighted the presence of women in the different spaces of political power, who occupy 70 percent of the headquarters of UBCH, Community and Street.

Sácipa added that with the support of the mayor of Libertador, Jesús Araque, the 1st Women’s Art Exhibition will be held, and a session is also planned in the Legislative Council to pay tribute to the Merida woman.
