New blow for pale Lukaku: Inter also loses against Juventus, ‘Big Rom’ barely came into play | Series A

A leaguePainful home defeat for Inter and Romelu Lukaku. Juventus won by the smallest difference in San Siro after a goal from Kostic. Lukaku barely appeared in the piece and was substituted after 80 minutes.

The home loss against Juventus is already the third defeat in four league games for Inter. In between there was still the Champions League qualification in Porto – albeit with the necessary dose of luck. The only goal of the match came from Filip Kostic, who floored goalkeeper Onana with a hard cross shot. A rare highlight in an otherwise unspectacular match.

Also stayed below par: Romelu Lukaku. The Red Devil sometimes set up a nice action with Barella – his shot was parried by Szczesny – but otherwise he was hardly put into position. Not a single goal ripe chance from Lukaku was noted. Ten minutes before the end ‘Big Rom’ was taken aside for Dzeko. After the whistle the pots of D’Ambrosio and Paredes were still boiling: both gentlemen took red.

Due to the defeat, Inter also loses its second place in Serie A to Lazio, who won the derby against AS Roma. Inter and Lukaku are still three points ahead of fifth place – the top four qualify for the Champions League.
