NBA, Pau Gasol, all ready for the retirement of the shirt: the video

Ahead of Pau Gasol’s jersey retirement ceremony on March 7 in Los Angeles, the NBA prepared a Los Angeles Lakers jersey measuring more than six square meters exposed on the facade of the town hall of Sant Boi del Llobregat (near Barcelona, ​​​​Spain) – the small hometown of Pau, in agreement with local institutions and the Gasol Foundation; the non-profit organization run by Pau and Marc Gasol and dedicated to the fight against childhood obesity. The giant shirt with the iconic n. 16 on the back it will remain on display on the town hall building in the center of the town from 3 to 9 March to pay homage to a unique player who will receive a special ceremony from the Lakers in Los Angeles on March 7 on the sidelines of the match against the Memphis Grizzlies (another historic NBA team with which the Catalan played and the one that launched him in the league). Gasol played for the Lakers for seven seasons (2008-14) and helped Los Angeles win back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010, alongside his friend Kobe Bryant – with whom he built a very strong bond that continues to last with the Black Mamba family even after his tragic death. One of the many touching passages of a ceremony that promises to be already special and dedicated to one of the greatest talents that European basketball has ever had.
