This Friday the 17th at 7:00 p.m., the deadline to register for the XX Soria Popular Badminton Tournament ends. The Soriana Delegation and the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club are already finalizing preparations so that everything is ready for the celebration of the twentieth edition of the tournament that will be held on May 25 and 26 at the Fuente del Rey Sports Center.
As in previous years, a high number of players is expected in the three categories that are played under-13, under-17 and senior, where each player will be able to register for two modalities, being able to choose between singles, men’s or women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
All participants will be given a commemorative t-shirt for this edition, as well as a bag with various products. The winners of each category and modality, in addition to their corresponding trophy, will receive a gift voucher to exchange for sports equipment.
The organization of the tournament appreciates the collaboration of the sponsoring institutions and companies, without which the tournament would be difficult to organize, so that the participants can play many games in a fun and at the same time competitive environment, which year after year has managed to be a benchmark of our sport and reach twenty years of history.
On the other hand, at a competitive level this Sunday the 19th, the first test of the Soriano Provincial Circuit will be held at the Fuente del Rey sports center, with the participation of the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club and the Sports Group 89 of El Burgo de Osma. In this edition, which will be the twenty-seventh, the Under-13, Under-17 and Absolute categories will be contested.
Players Jorge Peñaranda and Jimena Ayllón, respectively, will also travel to Estella (Navarra) and Durana (Vitoria), respectively, to compete in territorial tests that score at the national level for the absolute and under-17 categories. Both will compete in both singles and doubles.
