The V Youth Parapan American Games will take place from June 2 to 12, 2023, in Bogotá, Colombia, with competences in 12 disciplines and the objective of Strengthen the development of youth Paralympic sport in AmericaThis was confirmed by the organizing committee of the contest.
#Edoméx parathletes stand out at Grand Prix Monterrey 2022
The disciplines summoned to the continental tournament are: para-athletics, para-swimming, para-powerlifting, para-table tennis, wheelchair tennis, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, boccia, soccer for the blind, PC soccer, goal ball and judo.

It should be noted that Bogotá 2023 will bring together more than a thousand junior parathletes, from 26 countries, in 11 days of competitions.
The youth event will thus fulfill its fifth edition, after its debut in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, in 2005, in which Mexico achieved second place in the overall medal table.
The following editions were: Bogotá 2009, Buenos Aires 2013 and Sao Paulo 2017. The fifth broadcast originally scheduled for 2021 was delayed, first to 2022 and then to 2023, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the last edition, Sao Paulo 2017, more than 800 athletes between the ages of 13 and 20, from 19 nations, gathered. Mexico ranked third in the overall medal table with 22 gold, 29 silver and 21 bronze medals, for a total of 72 medals.
